Blackburn-Furrow Golf Clubhouse

Sept. 13, 2019, was a much-anticipated day for the University of Tennessee men’s and women’s golf programs, as the athletics department celebrated the dedication ceremony for the Blackburn-Furrow Golf Clubhouse.

After breaking ground on the facility in March of 2018, the golf programs moved into the beautiful facility in May of 2019. A permanent headquarters for the UT golf programs, the state-of-the-art facility is located less than a mile from campus at the Mack & Jonnie Day Golf Practice Facility along the south bank of the Tennessee River.

The approximately 8,300-square-foot Blackburn-Furrow Golf Clubhouse features a 1,000-square-foot hitting bay equipped with Trackman, swing analysis technology, video capabilities and a Putt View virtual-putting green. The facility houses team locker rooms, meeting areas, a team lounge and coaches’ offices. There is also more than 1,200 square feet of outdoor deck and patio space for recruiting and entertaining.

Each student-athlete has their own designated locker, which features a cushioned, pullout bench and additional storage space for gear and equipment. Inside each locker is a private safe for additional security of individual belongings.

The Vols and Lady Vols each have their own individual team lounge areas, which look out over the Mack & Jonnie Day Golf Practice Facility and the Tennessee River. Both lounges are fitted with flatscreen TVs and couches and chairs for relaxation. They also provide immediate access to the clubhouse patios, which lead out to the practice greens and outdoor range.
